Working for the weekend

We have not been working at all, except for the soccer players, of course. Yesterday they had a fun day off before the quarterfinals of the tournament. We went to the pool at the RV park where Tim’s parents are staying, then loaded up and headed to the Hard Rock Casino. Seem like an odd choice? Well, not if you like bowling, arcade games and laser tag. They have a seperate facility for those activities and the prices are budget friendly. Many of the parents went to the casino and won a bunch of money using the $25 promotional credits that the casino gives you for getting a players card. Our group, on the other hand, came away with exactly what we went in with. But we had fun losing the casino’s money!
Dinner was at the Cracker Barrel, and that was a great ending to a fun relaxing day.
Today we endured the drama and suspense of the quarterfinal game for the Boca Juniors team. They won in overtime 5-3, and move on to semifinals tomorrow. A carne asada meal for dinner prepared by some of the team parents was fantastic! Thank you to those folks for feeding us so well!
We also got to experience another afternoon of stormy weather, and even got rained on around the pool. It’s pretty much a given now that the wind will pick up and clouds move in. Unlike Oregon, the temperature doesn’t drop very significantly during these times.
Tomorrow is looming, so off to bed and back to the field by 10 AM.
